Bio: Regarding bikes I love 'em all. But my absolute fav is the venerable Yamaha XS1100. This bike raised the ante of the "arms race" in 1978 by being the first Japanese headknocker Superbike to XSeed 1100cc. The shaft driven, air cooled, inline four was truly XSive for it's day. It was rated at almost 100 hp and was the first production bike to break into the realm of the 11 second ET. It was the hailed the 1/4 mile King and could attain terminal velocities in XS of 140. Not only was the bike the Hayabusa of 1978 but it was the Gold wing as well. The '78 XS Eleven had a higher payload than it's contemporary Goldwing. To this day the Eleven is still a formidable bike. It will utterly toast 99% of the current crop of cruisers and makes a great touring machine as evidenced by my very own "ZILLA".
